SUNDAYS
10AM SERVICE

Verse by Verse Expository Teaching Through the Bible.

Each Sunday, Pastor Rod is teaching verse by verse through the Book of Revelation. The Greek word for Revelation, "apokalupsis" is literally the unveiling. It is the unveiling of Jesus Christ, the lifting of the wraps. It is the taking of the seals off. It is the unveiling of Jesus Christ in His relationship to the Church, to judgement, and to what is to come... the future. The Revelation was meant to be read in the churches, and refers to itslef as a prophecy.

Join us for this exciting and interesting part of our Bibles... It promises a blessing! Revelation 1:3, "Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near."

Please Join Us!

TUESDAYS

The fast will be from Monday night until Wednesday morning. Whether fasting or not, all are invited to join Pastor Rod for prayer.

TUESDAYS - Men's Study
7pm - 9 pm

MEN'S STUDY OF PHILIPPIANS

Why Study Philippians?

As we look around the world today, it is not hard to find reasons for discouragement—the challenges of life in a sin-ravaged world quickly feel overwhelming. The battering that our hope takes comes not only from outside the church but also from inside it with the ongoing temptations and failings of believers.

The letter to the Philippians addresses head-on the human tendency toward discouragement and hopelessness. In Christ, who was in the form of God yet emptied himself and went to a cross for our sake (Phil. 2:5–11), an invincible hope is given to all Christians everywhere, whatever we are facing. The gospel gives us a comfort and solace that no human circumstance can take away (4:10–13). Whatever happens—personally, politically, economically—God has freely granted to those who trust in Christ a righteousness that is not dependent on their obedience but on Christ (3:9). For this reason we have “ample cause to glory in Christ Jesus” (1:26) despite the storms raging around us.

“Rejoice in the Lord always” (Phil. 4:4). If we have Christ, we have everything.

WEDNESDAY
NIGHT SERVICE - 7PM

We are encouraging all to attend our Wednesday Night Midweek Service at 7pm as we study thru the Old Testament Books of the BiblePastor Rod is currently teaching thru the book of 2nd KINGS. This 2nd book (which the Septuagint, numbering 2nd Samuel, called the fourth) is a continuation of the former book; and, some think, might better have been made to begin with the 51st verse of the foregoing chapter, where the reign of Ahaziah begins. The former book had an illustrious beginning, in the glories of the kingdom of Israel, when it was entire; this has a melancholy conclusion, in the desolations of the kingdoms of Israel first, and then of Judah, after they had been long broken into two: for a kingdom divided against itself cometh to destruction. But, as Elijah's mighty works were very much the glory of the former book, towards the latter end of it, so were Elisha's the glory of this, towards the beginning of it. These prophets out-shone their princes; and therefore, as far as they go, the history shall be accounted for in them.

PASTOR'S BOOK CLUB

The Book Club will meet at church every other Saturday morning, 9-10:30am. The book we will read through is, "The Tale of Three KIngs", by Gene Edwards. Cost is $10 for the book and can be purchased at the Church Book Store or on your own. Sign ups are available at the Info Booth.

Why Study Philippians? As we look around the world today, it's not hard to find reasons for discouragement—the challenges of  life in a sin-raveged world quickly feel overwhelming. We hope all Men join us for another study of God's Word and fellowship. "As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend" (Proverbs 27:17, NKJV)... We Sharpen One Another!

KOINONIA GATHERINGS

 TWICE A MONTH

Join a Group

Koinonia groups are small groups that gather every 2nd and 4th weekends in home with fellowship, worship, and guided discussion. Groups meet in Corpus Christi, Flour Bluff, Portland, and Kingsville. Some groups meet on Fridays, some on Saturdays, and others on Sundays to fit couple's and individual's different schedulesAll are welcome to sign up and attend. To join a group, fill out a sign-up slip and return to an Agape Box or visit our Koinonia web page for more information. Pray about joining a K-group and get connected todayEVERYONE IS WELCOME!!!

In May we finished  a great devotional book study called "Jesus Take The Wheel - 7 Keys to a Transformed Life with God". While many of us know we need and want change, we often neglect to allow Jesus to have His rightful place behind the wheel of our lives. As we work through each chapter, we realize that no matter how great our initial desire was to draw closer to the Lord, it is not going to happen without a renewed commitment to the process each day. Join us as we seek that renewed commitment to let the Lord be in control of our lives. Sign up to attend one of our Koinonia Home Fellowships at the Info Booth, or talk to Fab/Elvira about joining one. You will be blessed and make friends for life!

WOMEN'S PRAYER TEAM

Join us in the Sanctuary every Thursday from 10am-11am for prayer time when the Women's Bible Study is on break and from 9-10am when Women's Bible Study is in session.

 CONQUER GROUPS

This Group is meeting Friday afternoons and we are using the DVD Series with the workbook. Your host on the DVD series is Dr. Ted Roberts, a former US Marine fighter pilot and Senior Pastor of East Hill Church in Oregon and founder of Pure Desire Ministries International. This ministry is devoted to healing sexual addicts and their spouses with a 90% success rate. A former sex addict himself, Dr. Roberts knows what it takes to conquer hell at close range. He has over thirty years of counseling experience helping men get free from sexual addiction and helping husbands and wives restore their marriages. Dr. Ted Roberts states, "I have been called to speak to the men of this generation and the next with a prophetic voice, calling them to walk in sexual integrity, with a strong passion for their divine destiny, by the grace of God and the power of the Holy Spirit, challenging men to real manhood, not to remain in their present day spiritual passivity. Calling men to become hell's worst nightmare. Calling men to Conquer!" Please see Fab or Sean for more details.

TRUELIFE.ORG

This is a website that gives answers to Life's Hard Questions. You will get good sound Biblical advice that will help you and those who you minister to. We have cards to hand out with the website on the back and our Church Name and location on the front. This is an easy way to reach out to those in our community with the message of Christ. You can reach those who would not normally come to church. Those people can go home to their computer, go to website on the card and realize that God has the answers to Life in His word. After that we pray they will want to come fellowship with us to grow in a loving church family and discover the gifts God has given them for the Body of Christ. Grab more cards when you run out and plant those seeds!!
