Pastor Rod used the example of Paul and Barnabas to explain how we can persevere in the face of adversity when it comes to sharing the Gospel. They continued to speak the word and they didn't let opposition stop them. We can do the same.

Pastor Rod teaches in Acts 13:42-52 as we see the different responses from the people toward the gospel. Some received the message, others opposed the gospel and Paul and Barnabas. Some were filled with hate, some were filled with joy. As you share the gospel with people, be ready for the different responses, and be filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit as the disciples were.

Pastor Rod teaches about the message given by Paul to the Jews. The Jews already knew the law so the message was not compromised but tailored to the Jews. The message was fully focused on Jesus. And when we want to minister to others, people we know and present Jesus Christ and the gospel, we shouldn't attack people. We should get to know them, be caring, and love them. Don't show off how mean you can be. Love people. The hope that we have is in Jesus Christ, His Life, death, and resurrection. He gave us eternal life for all eternity. Challenge brothers and sisters: Learn more about God. Learn His Truth, His Word, His Gospel. Share His Word and know there is power in the Name of Jesus.

Pastor Rod asked, "Who of us has not failed?" The answer of course is we all have. But, failing is not the problem, it's what you do afterwards that matters. Failure is not final in the Grace of God as we can learn from John Mark.

The focus of the Book of Acts now shifts to Antioch and the reaching of the Gentiles. Pastor Rod explains how the Church at this point in time was Spiritually Healthy and Spiritually Stable, and he explains how if God is with us, he will take care of us... Just like God did for the early church!

Pastor Rod teaches in Acts 11:19-30, where we see Barnabas visit the new believers in Antioch. We see how Barnabas was used greatly because he was an encourager, he was generous, he befriended people, he was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit, and full of faith. We also see how Barnabas recognized what were not his strong points and that he couldn't do this on his own. He was a team player. We need to recognize our strengths and weaknesses, and appreciate the fact we in the body of Christ need each other to do the Lord's work.

Peter is having to defend himself, and God's work to other believers. Their prejudice against the Gentiles is stunting the ability to rejoice in the Gentile's salvation. One may think about when they were treated unjustly, but the bigger question is: do we treat others this way? May we be quick to listen, and slow to speak - ready to love others with the gospel of Truth.

Pastor Rod teaches on how God shows no partiality. Verse 44, "While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message." Remember God wants all human beings, every single one to be saved. And Jesus gives us righteousness but also inserts Himself into the judgement we deserve. Pastor Rod said, "set aside your bias, prejudice, favoritism, be filled with the Holy Spirit and seek to fulfill the incredible things that God has for you as you completely surrender to Him.

Pastor Rod teaches in Acts 10:1-33, where we see the story of God calling Peter to go to the house of the Roman centurion Cornelius. In this chapter we read that God told Peter not to call what He has made clean common, or unclean. God was breaking down walls and man's traditions with Peter, teaching Him that God desires to save the Gentiles as well. In this we see that no one is beyond reach of God's love, that God desires to reach all people. We shouldn't classify certain people as unclean and unreachable. We should share the love of God with all people.
