Be spiritually relevant. Judge yourself by God's standards, not the world's standards.

Pastor Rod teaches in 2 Kings 1. In this story we read of Elijah prophesying God's judgement on king Ahaziah. We also see how Elijah calls fire from heaven to consume two groups of Ahaziah's men. The captain of the third group of men pleaded with Elijah to spare him and his men. He feared the man of God over the king. It's better to fear God over man, for man does not have power over our souls.

(Our apologies, roughly the first minute did not record as well as the closing prayer.) Pastor Rod teaches in Acts about Paul being persecuted by the Jews. Tertullus, a lawyer, presented his case before governor Felix by flattery. He was shading the Truth, which were lies. And Paul did not give up, he was bold for Jesus. He was guilty of the right things, sharing the Gospel.

Pastor Rod teaches in 1 Kings 22. In this story, we read about Ahab and how he did not want to hear the Word of the Lord, which lead to his destruction. After him his son reigned in his place, and he did evil like his father. Just because our family has a past of evil, does not mean you have to follow in their path. With the Lord, you can break those chains in your families path.

Pastor Rod teaches in Acts 22, how Paul spoke to the Roman citizens. Paul was more concerned about their salvation than his own safety. He wanted them to understand that we all need Jesus. So he used his Roman citizenship as a tool for the kingdom of God. For we all must be careful and not strike back in anger. James 1:19 And we all are to be "wise as serpents and harmless as doves" Matthew 10:16-20. Praise God for His Faithfulness. May we be filled by His Holy Spirit and may we listen to Him always.

God put Paul on the path he was on, and like Paul, we need to have a heart for people to know God. How God wants you to share your testimony may change, but His message to each generation of people will always be the same.

Pastor Rod teaches in 1 Kings 21. In this chapter we see the wickedness of Ahab and his wife Jezebel. When the prophet Elijah was sent by God to Ahab to confront his sin, Ahab mourns because of it. When this happens, God shows Ahab mercy. If God showed mercy to Ahab even in his apparent "partial repentance", do you think that God would show you, one of His children, mercy when you repent? Don't repent partially, turn away and turn to the Lord, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins if we confess them to Him and turn to Him.

Pastor Rod shares a message with us about the Apostle Paul and how in the face of adversity in the early church and in society, he stands firm on salvation being through grace alone. Have respect for the past being the Mosaic Law, but be excited about the future in what Christ is doing in your life and in your church. Pray for consistency in the church, and rid us of rumors, distractions, and assumptions that get us in trouble. Live pure and let the Lord be priority over all.

Pastor Rod teaches in 1 Kings 20 about God's Grace. Even though Ahab had done things and been disobedient to God, Father God sent him a prophet with news that he would defeat Ben-Hadad. Praise God for His love and His patience with us. Praise God that He gives us a chance to repent, to remember all He has done, all that He created and remember He has a purpose. We pray to hear His Voice and always have our eyes on Him.
