The Jews were the first people to hear the Gospel, but what happened was the Gentiles began to get saved (part of God's plan). Paul was excited about this, but [ethnic] Jewish Christians who didn't yet understand what God was doing wanted to pull the new converts into Judaism. All this ultimately led to Paul now heading to Rome and we get to learn from Paul's strength in this literal and spiritual storm!

(Our apologies, roughly the first minute did not record at the beginning as well as the closing prayer.) Pastor Rod teaches in 2 Kings Chapter 4 and in this chapter we see the miracles that Elisha performs. In this story we learn about the characteristics of generosity. God is generous to those who are generous.

We will see that the people listening to Paul are interested in his message about his prior convictions, his conversion, and his conclusions. It's at the point in time where the listeners' mortality meets eternity. They were ALMOST persuaded.

Pastor Rod teaches in this story of 2 Kings chapter 3 where we see the king of Israel, Judah and Edom find themselves in a wilderness area. When Elisha came he told them to use a little bit of energy that was within them to dig ditches that God would fill with water. What do you do in dry times in your life? Dig the ditches and God will fill them.

Pastor Rod teaches in 2 Kings chapter 2 where we see that God is taking up Elijah which allows his servant Elisha taking Elijah's place as the next top prophet of God. The lesson we see in the life of Elisha is if you want to be used greatly by the Lord, you must first be a servant, and continue being a servant.

Special guest, Pastor Rich Miotto, teaches in 2nd Peter on how we can grow as a Christian. We can read and study God's Word. We can become more like Jesus daily. For we are here only for a short time and we need to make it count. Add to our faith, God's virtue (goodness), knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, and brotherly kindness. Praise God He gives us power that we may glorify Him.

Be spiritually relevant. Judge yourself by God's standards, not the world's standards.

Pastor Rod teaches in 2 Kings 1. In this story we read of Elijah prophesying God's judgement on king Ahaziah. We also see how Elijah calls fire from heaven to consume two groups of Ahaziah's men. The captain of the third group of men pleaded with Elijah to spare him and his men. He feared the man of God over the king. It's better to fear God over man, for man does not have power over our souls.

(Our apologies, roughly the first minute did not record as well as the closing prayer.) Pastor Rod teaches in Acts about Paul being persecuted by the Jews. Tertullus, a lawyer, presented his case before governor Felix by flattery. He was shading the Truth, which were lies. And Paul did not give up, he was bold for Jesus. He was guilty of the right things, sharing the Gospel.
