The Men's Ministry is focused on developing leaders with a passion for the things of God. Our desire is to develop godly men as husbands, spiritual leaders in the home, leaders in the workplace, and in the church.
We do this through studying and discussing the Bible, along with prayer and a spiritual accountability with other godly men. It's our desire to provide each man with an environment in which he can grow in his walk with the Lord and learn to be the faithful servant God has called him to be.
The Women’s Ministry is dedicated to nurturing women in their walk with Christ and helping them grow into the godly women God has called them to be. Our desire is to encourage women as daughters of the King, equipping them to thrive as wives, mothers, spiritual mentors, and leaders—both in the home and in the church.
We do this through Bible study, prayer, and meaningful fellowship with other women who are seeking God. Our aim is to create a supportive environment where women can deepen their faith, build lasting friendships, and be strengthened to serve their families and communities with grace and purpose.

Here at Calvary Chapel of the Coastlands we desire for all children to hear the truth of God’s Word. We strive to provide a nurturing environment where young hearts and minds thrive in faith. We cherish the belief that every child is a unique and precious gift from God, and our mission is to help them grow as disciples of Christ.
We offer Children's Ministries during our 10:45 am Sunday morning service as well as during the 7:00 pm Wednesday evening service. We look forward to serving you and your children very soon!

Our approach to nurturing young faith is to plant seeds, from Gods word, and grow disciples. Just as a seed requires the right soil, care, and attention to flourish, we desire to provide a nurturing and biblically based environment for your little one to flourish.

We firmly believe in the Bible as the infallible Word of God, a divine guide that enlightens, corrects, and trains us in righteousness. Our curriculum is deeply rooted in the timeless wisdom of the Bible. It is through the Bible that we shape our lessons, ensuring they are accessible and engaging for children of all ages.

We understand that families come in all shapes and sizes, this is why we've chosen a curriculum that teaches children of all age groups, from toddlers to 5th graders, the same lesson each week. This unity allows families to discuss and reinforce these valuable teachings at home, creating meaningful opportunities for family bonding and spiritual growth. We also believe that the family should be deeply involved in the spiritual growth of their children. All children receive a coloring/activity sheet with the lesson overview, questions, and scripture so the families can engage in the teachings at home.
Our dedicated team of teachers and volunteers is wholeheartedly committed to creating a safe, loving, and welcoming environment for your child. All of our volunteers have undergone background checks to ensure the safety and well-being of your little ones.

We have the desire for the youth to grow in the knowledge of God's Word and calling in His Kingdom.
From time to time, we do service projects to be the hands and feet of Jesus. See our Special Events page for Upcoming Events.
Grades, 9th-12th, meet Sunday mornings during second service at 10:45am and Wednesday nights (7pm) in the High School Ministry room. Chris and Virginia Hernandez lead the High School ministry and he can be reached at 361-658-5011.
Grades 6th-8th, meet Sunday mornings during second service at 10:45am and during our Wednesday night service (7pm) in the Middle School Ministry room. Dan Bush leads this Junior High Ministry with his wife Sharon. Dan can be reached at (361) 425-3141 and Sharon at 361-633-9163.

"And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ." Real Conversations and Relationships
Join us Sunday nights for a time of fellowship, encouragement, and growing together in Christ. Our Young Adult Group (ages 18-30) is passionate about pursuing Jesus, discovering how to be Spirit led, and building an authentic community. We believe that doing life with other like-minded believers is an important part in reaching these goals. Each week we gather to dive into God’s Word and each other’s lives in a way that speaks to where we are right now.
We are currently exploring the subtopic of spiritual gifts as a part of our larger study through 1 Corinthians. Paul writes, “I do not want you to be ill-informed about the spiritual gifts…” In this study, we are learning how to not limit the Holy Spirit and to be open to the different ways that He chooses to work. Above the gifts are the fruit of the Spirit, for we are not judged by our gifts, but by our fruit.

Home Groups or Koinonia (pronounced koy-nohn-ee'ah) is a Greek word translated literally as "participation".
It means to fellowship, communicate, and share with one another the good news of the holy spirit. We have "Koinonia" in the form of small groups in various homes of our church members. Our small groups meet every second and fourth weekend between Labor Day and Independence Day with a short holiday break during the Christmas season. We generally meet in the evenings and begin with fellowship, food, and worship music. We then study the bible together and have healthy discussions about the word of God. We end with prayer to cover all of Acts 2:42.

Casas Por Cristo is a non-profit organization which builds homes for families who need to be reminded that Jesus loves them. During their mission trips they build relationships between volunteers, families, and pastors that would otherwise never have met.

In 2006 Larry and Hannah Overton fell in love with a little boy at their church. His name was Andrew. Andrew was a foster child that the Overtons felt a great desire to provide a home for and to "become his forever family." He would be their sixth child, an addition to their five biological children. A few short months later tragedy struck and their world was turned upside down. Andrew went home to be with Jesus when he passed away from a rare medical condition called Hypernatremia.
This condition caused very high, fatal levels of sodium in his body. This sorrowful tragedy was compounded when Larry and Hannah were accused and charged in Andrews death. On September 7, 2007 Hannah was convicted of capital murder and sent to a maximum security prison for life without the possibility of parole for a crime she didn't commit. This would leave Larry at home to care for their other 5 children. During Hannah's time in prison God not only held her and her family in His hands but also used this trial in mighty ways. After seven years of imprisonment, Hannah was exonerated and all charges were dropped on April 8th, 2015.
During this span, many have come to the Lord and the ministry is continually growing. Although Hannah is home with her family, Hebrews 13:3 reminds her to "remember those in prison as if you were there with them." The Overton's heart is to share their story, encourage those facing times of sorrow, and to always trust that God is faithful to lead them every step of the way. They will continue to minister to those behind the gates and remind the church that this charge is not only for those who have been there like Hannah, but for all believers!

Our desire is to empower children, mothers, women, and families in Mobasa through training, education, meeting critical needs, community, and the love of Jesus. Mission trips to Pan de Vida are a great opportunity to minister to the women & children at the shelter. We make all the meals while we are there for everyone as well as doing different projects to bless the shelter. We also do crafts and games with the children. Sign up at the info booth.
"My original calling was to be a missionary in Mexico City. I had just finished bible school and the Lord laid on my heart to go to Mexico City. I had no idea what I was going to do when I got there. Once there I started teaching biblical studies. Within 2 years those studies grew into a church of over 100 people. After 7 years the Lord enabled me to open a home for desperate people. The calling was to help people suffering from drug addiction, alcoholism, prostitution and other needs of the spirit. These people needed a home that supplied not only physical needs but spiritual healing as well. Soon after that, I was called to open a home in Matamoros.
I moved to Matamoros in 1995. I served the Lord there for 3 years. We soon started looking for land instead of having to pay rent at our current location. An evangelist came by and told me about a friend of his that had recently accepted the Lord that had a big heart and some land in Sandoval, a small community to the west of Matamoros.
In July of 1998 Adventures in Missions helped to get us started by building 3 wood frame, steel roofed buildings on this property. Two of the three buildings have been replaced.
We first moved to Sandoval with 4 women and 10 children. By this time I had already been ministering to the local prison in Matamoros, but had to stop because of the move from the city. One day I received a woman whose husband was in prison serving a ten year sentence. Celeste had a son named Pepe and she asked me if she could visit her husband in the prison. I said yes, but that I would need to go with her. From there on I began prison ministry on a weekly basis."
Kenneth & Eileen are missionary doctors serving in Galina, Jamaica. They are involved with leading a Bible Club for children at risk, counseling, visiting shut ins and elderly, and providing clothes and food to poor in the community. Celso & Tatiana are the Senior Pastors of Calvary Chapel Sao Vicente, Brazil. Calvary Sao Vicente is a non-denominational, evangelical church located on the southern coast of Brazil in South America. Alexandre Silva Vaz is the Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Mission Statement: Our purpose is to be willing and able vessels of prayer for the needs of the church and the lost. We have seen the Lord's faithfulness through many answered prayers!
Prayer Meetings Available
Sunday Evening Prayer: Please join us the 3rd Sunday of every month at 6pm as we meet for corporate prayer.
Tuesday Prayer: 6am and 6pm in the Multipurpose Room. Everyone is invited to join in praying with us.
Thursday Morning Women's Prayer: All ladies are invited to join the women's bible study that is reading a book on prayer and ends with prayer in the sanctuary. Childcare is available.
Chains To Fall, Prayers for Prodigals: 1st Sunday of the Month at 6pm in the Multipurpose Room. Everyone is invited.
