In this video, Pastor Rod Carver explains from Genesis 29 about the marriage(s) of Jacob (the grandson of Abraham). Jacob fled his parents' home due to the rage of his older twin brother, but he left joyfully because he was also leaving in search of a wife. We often think of him as a young, 20-something, but he was actually 77.
He also was full of joy because God had earlier given him a revelation of what is commonly referred to as "Jacob's ladder", where he saw angels ascending to and descending from heaven.
The story of Jacob is a reminder that at those times in our lives when we feel lost, seek the Lord along the way on a daily basis. God is quite able to get you to where you are supposed to be!
