In this Resurrection Day message, Pastor Rod teaches from John 20:11-18 of how Jesus appeared to Mary Magdalene after Jesus' resurrection. The death of Jesus was what made God's mercy available to all mankind.
Two things Mary did in her sorrow that we should be aware of: 1. She allowed her tears to blind her; and 2. She was looking down at the earth instead of looking up. It was when Jesus called her name that she recognized His voice. In the middle of your worst circumstances, are you looking to the world instead of Jesus? Do you know His voice?
As John wrote in verse 31, "But these are written, that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you might have life through his name".
